It is the story of the ideal doctor as we visualize in our memory. We always say to ourselves: “ If I were a doctor I would have behaved in such and such a way , and not otherwise” . Nevertheless, this ideal doctor suffers from the feeling of loneliness. Sometimes he looks tough, sometimes careless. Sometimes we say to ourselves: “Don’t do this” and wish he behaved in another way, not because he is not ideal, but because even an ideal doctor is a human being in the final analysis , and cannot be exactly as we want him to be.
Bisher, our doctor, would commit a mistake, but always has enough courage to admit his mistakes; he would get angry but can always control himself before he goes too far in his anger. He may be obstinate and does not give up a decision he has made, but we are always obliged to admit that he is right.
Bisher is a surgeon who owns a private hospital which he inherited from his father and which he expanded to include several sections. He is now planning to build a new section for plastic surgery , a promising surgery that will yield him big revenues which he needs to achieve his life dream and project : building a charity hospital . Bishr does not only treat illnesses but always believes that he is responsible for his patients’ health and their lives as well . It is simply because he is the kind of doctor who cannot stand hand folded in front of the problems of his patients. Once you find him looking for a house-of-the disabled refuge for one of his patients who does not want to go on living as a burden with his carless son . In another instance he would leave his hospital and rush to save a girl who attempted suicide because she could not face life’s injustice. Now he refuses to give up an incurable case . He investigates the matter and does everything possible to save the life of his patient ,although this would anger the other doctors who have decided that he is impossible to be cured . They don’t want to risk their reputation for the sake of a patient who would die under operation . They would accuse Bishr of being disloyal to the profession. . In brief, Bishr always behaves as a humanitarian doctor and not simply a doctor.
At the hospital we come to know various characters ( doctors, nurses, workers) as well as patients who came for treatment and through whom we shall demonstrate several problems of all classes in our society.

At the beginning of the show Bishr marries Hanan, a young girl several years his younger. He admires her innocence and feminine qualities. However, a very short time after marriage he realizes that innocence and youth alone are not sufficient to fulfill his sentimental life. Unfortunately, a short time after marriage he will get introduced to a married woman, a mother called Amal and believes she is the one he needs. On her part, Amal, although she admire Bishr, but she refuses to get divorce from her husband , Sami, because he is absorbed in the love of his wife and is an ideal father.. Amal refuses to damage the life of her husband and children. Bisher is then obliged to accept her friendship, the maximum she could offer him. Hanan feels that Bishr is in love with Amal. This feeling she perceives by her instinct and not by her mind and is not disappointed if he marries her. She suffers and is on the verge of collapse whereas Bishr cannot divorce her after all her love to him . In addition to this she has no other shelter to resort to since the life of her parents has collapsed under a lot disputes, and continuous mutual accusations. Bisher cannot divorce Hanan, nor can he give her the love she wants . They will therefore live together; she will give birth to two children, Hani and Souhair. She will never get his love one day; he will not get Amal either…

Because of the breakdown of the marriage relation between Hanan’s parents, Lamis, her sister, is forced to marry Fouad, the assistant surgeon at the hospital. She will marry him to get rid of this hatred that dominates her parents’ home. He, on the other hand, will marry her because he considers that this marriage will help him achieve success and progress, and get rid for ever of his link with his village, his family , his poverty, and all his past. He, however, discovers that he has deceived himself when he thought that the success he did not achieve is the most important thing in life , and when he loses love which came too late.
By the elapse of years, a lifetime friendly relation will take place between Bishr’s and Amal’s families.

Thus all the couples live together not only with the motives of love but also with that of sympathy, and interest. Even I’tidal, the surgeon’s assistant nurse, will lead her life with Saber, the man who cannot not give her anything and who cannot live without her . She lives with him because she cannot forsake him although he forsook her and their two children several times during their long life.
Hani, Bisher and Amal’s first born son , is studying medicine and Bishr places all hope in him so that he proceeds with the family project after Bishr. Hani however, discovers that medicine is not to his liking as a profession , that he was always directed in his life and now he refuses what his father wants him to be and wants to lead his own life. For Bishr , this a problem because he does not want to lose all the achievements his father made and which he continued himself… How should he deal with this subjects ?...
Most of the series heroes will volunteer to assist Bishr in building his charity hospital This act might mean to each one of them a desire to penance for their errors which they committed un-purposefully , or an attempt to do something positive for the others in this life which is full of disappointments, worries , little happiness represented in the others who stand with us in bad times and good times.
