This dram contains 30 T.V. episodes; each episode contains two spotlights or more; each spotlight deals with a funny T.V. drama subject of a comic material that may make sometimes a black comedy, or even a tragedy which may promote the viewers’ taste or draw their attention to the social flaws in general, and in themselves in particular.
This work contains a big number of diverse ideas, due to the diversity of the number of writers. It also contains a number of Syrian and Arab stars. It, however, stresses the notion that the importance in acting does not lie in the size of the role, but rather  in the ability of a certain actor to enrich the character which he plays.

The main story revolves around the tremendous events that (Abu Al Hasan) faces as a chief. It begins with the return of (Dalal) the attractive woman from travel and her story with Abu Al Hasan's children: (Al Hasan), (Salah Eldin) and his beautiful daughter (Qatr elnada) in a unique style of narration that calls on the human conscience as it shows the cruelty of the step-mother.
 Lady (Dalal) is the main catalyst that provokes the negative events adding more suspense and flaming emotions.
 (Rida) the free man is an oppressed orphan who revenges his honor and will succeed to win our sympathy.

"Not an Illusion" is a social series tackles the issue of man having a modern thinking while surrounded by traditional conservative views. Man's dilemma is trying to manage the conflict between his own "isle" and the bigger world outside. From this perspective the events highlight the relationship between the various components of the society which make its beauty and richness if they are approached with true and honest openness. Nevertheless, approaches of falseness and denial of the existence of the other are always found in all societies.
