The Syrian Art Production International is preparing for producing the huge historical drama: (The Kings of Sects) in Andalusia. This drama will deal with the events that led to breaking Andalusia into many conflicting petty countries. This situation allowed the kingdom of Guastalla in the North to take advantage of the deteriorating conditions aiming for expanding its borders and restraining the first power controlling the Iberian peninsula for the first time since the conquest, and to impose its humiliating terms on the kings of the sects who sought power over each others from Guastalla.
In that age the kingdom of Seville emerged to be the most important among the kingdoms of sects in Andalusia. Its king, however, the poet, the night, and the lover,

'Al Mutamad Bin Abbad' submits, as the others did, to the dictates of Guastalla. The tragedy reaches its peak by the fall of the kingdom of Toledo forever. In that period of history, it seemed as if the whole of Andalusia was about to fall had it not been for the interference of the  'Murabiteen' who saved it. The great warrior 'Yousef Bin Tashfeen' who was able to establish a great powerful kingdom in the great Morocco helped. 'Bin Tashfeen' prevailed over the armies of Guastalla in 'Al Zallkah', one of the most historical battles, thus giving Andalusia a new era that lasts more four centuries. At last he finds himself obliged to dethrone the kings of sects who proved   their powerlessness and inability. 'Al Mutamad Bin Abbad', the greatest of the kings of sects, unites Andalusia and then suffers a tragic end as a prisoner and captive, poor and miserable in an aloof country in Morocco.

On the other hand, this series continues the chain of events and the development of the building up of the 'Murabiteen' in Moroco in parallel lines until the two lines meet by the 'Murabiteen' response to the cry of Andalusia. This age, however, in spite of the deterioration of the political situations, is considered one of the most glorious epochs of Andalusia concerning the educational, literary, artistic and architectural sides.

Apart from the great historical events, the story of the sects is full of dramatic human moving events through which the dramatic treatment transcends the place and time confinement in order to talk to the viewers and their present issues.

This drama is writen by Dr. Waleed Saif and directed by Hatem Ali, the two mates who presented through the Syrian Art Production International: 'Salddin Al Ayoobi', 'Saqr Quraish', 'The Spring of Cordoba', 'The Palestinian Estrangement' which won the golden prizes for production and script for the successive years of the Annual Cairo festival for TV and Radio.

'The Kings of Sects' also comes in a process of a completion of a comprehensive dram project aiming at dealing with the most important joints of the history of Andalusia through drama works starting from the time of establishment in (Saqr Quraish), the climax stage, and the beginning of change and alteration in (The Spring of Cordoba) which were presented through different circumstances. This series is expected to effect a jump in the Arabic artistic production level.
