This work is a drama form of the first Arab epic (Albusoos War). We wanted to keep away from exaggerations and myths such as found in the legends of all peoples. Here we have human beings, like us. They only lived in different circumstances. We shall not stop long for investigating the reason of that war. We know that its fire has been triggered because of a she camel.
Troy War, which lasted for ten years, was also launched because of a faithless woman who ran away with her lover. But the Iliad which immortalized the memory of that war did not stop at the reason, but it inspires its richness from the human details with which it dealt—even the gods of the Iliad have human affairs and relationships.
Epics do not stop at reasons, for the best literary and drama works produced by the Greek (and the Romans afterwards) depended on the human details in the lives of all the heroes of those wars—there relationships with their children, wives, friends and enemies.
Our Arab epic is no less in richness with regard to that great epic. War by itself is not significant, nor its reasons, but what counts is the human relations and dimensions which that war helped to reveal in the lives of all its characters. Dramatic richness comes as a result of revealing the personal tendencies and propensities of these characters—not out of their heroism. If ‘Azzer’ were a hero and ‘Kulaib’ were, too (in the sense that they both were skilful in the art of fighting in the battlefield), Jassas, then, should also be considered as a hero, too; (although he was presented in the epic as evil, rascal and coward). So are all his brothers.
The conflict is between humans who have their own human reasons which we can understand now as it was understood in its time. This is so, because humans have their constant and unchangeable psychological, mental and sentimental features. They also have their ambitions and tendencies which make us understand the secret of our relationship with them, so far.
We do not intend to take down ‘Albussos’  as being a war only, nor we wish to introduce Azzeer as being a mere hero. We, here, have a historical drama which has its authentic place, time, and characters, as well as its psychological and sentimental expanse with our public; yet it wishes to present contemporary statements as well as the human depth of the characters which the people have not known except through myths.
