This TV series demonstrates a number of stories about the continuous search of man for happiness love and stability. It also speaks of man’s constant failure in this regard.
The characters of these series are many; and in spite of their being different, they are yet alike in their wallowing in their lives, problems and feelings:
*Mansoor, the frightful child who has been maltreated by his father and who still carries his fear over his shoulder trying to get rid of it.
*Nader, lost between his father and mother.
*Alla’ and Nawal who live a conflict between love and hatred.
*Lulia, the girl persecuted and maltreated by her step mother, Dalal whose hate of her step daughter carries her to the degree of trying to kill her. Dalal considers Lulia the cause of her misery, but when Lulia leaves out of her life she discovers that it wasn’t Lulia’s fault.
*Her husband, Tahsin can only run away for escaping troubles, and although he cannot solve any he, too, runs away in the end.
*Sumer, a teacher of week personality is ill-treated by her pupils. Everybody teaches her how to live. Her financial circumstances oblige her to live under one roof with her cruel mother-in-law who considers her son wronged by living with such a woman.
*Fares, her young husband, who has no experience about life, and who doesn’t know how to deal with his young wife, finally chooses the worst solutions, which is silence. They resort to silence, and then they come up to a complete cutout due to their misunderstanding. They both think of the direction opposite to what he/she should think of.
*Maaysa’,  spinster by her own will, admires ‘Jamal’ the bachelor by her own will, too. He also admires her, yet everyone hides behind the slogan of self liberty which should not be sacrificed, while they, both, are badly in need of each other more than their need of liberty.
*Alia and Khaldoon are a symbol of the happy family of a perfect understanding. But this family is also doomed to fail, because when a problem meets Khaldoon, his life-course changes completely, and he lacks courage for speaking frankly with his wife lest she looks down upon him after considering him a perfect example of man.
Thus the new generation see the deficiency and incompetence of the old generation in dealing with their problems. And they also see the floundering of the parents and their confusion  and weaknesses. They see how they refuse to follow the old generation way of life. Yet, they don’t know how to be as they would. Maybe they, now, only think how to get away from family and parents, and how to build their homes away from all, hoping their homes to be better.
*Rasha, the mysterious girl loved by Mansoor. The relationship between Rasha and Mansoor in this chaos is the only relationship in which its heroes run toward each other as a result of life cares and in pursuit of a little rest or comfort, because deep in their hearts they feel that happiness is almost impossible…
