The Crusades were the first world-wars known by history.
This is the story of a conflict between the ‘East’ and the ‘West’, which some tried to portray as a religious war. But it is quite sure that the leaders of the Crusades, when they rushed for their expansionist wars, they were targeting mere mundane aims. It was the first try in the Western Colonialism. The aim was to achieve great economical gains. The Muslim leaders, in stead of unifying themselves in the face of those attacks, rushed to the battle singly; and singly they were slain, one after another until Saladin came.
This TV series is an artistic bibliography of a hero who freed Jerusalem, after he had unified the Arab and Islamic World. Now a days, while history is almost being repeated, we badly need to be inspired by the old history which stood on factual truth and real accounts, so that we can present the Arab as a man who reflects all of us whether we are carriers of swords or pens.
It is a try to know Saladin as a unique leader who nothing can divert him  from his target, and as a man whose eyes become filled with tears, and who has great mercy in his heart, and forgives. A man worthy of every appreciation and admiration. His Jihad in the battlefield does not make him forget that knights have their manners, and fighting has civilised aspects, too. If the enemy inclines to peace, he inclines to it, too, but without negligence or submission. We also realise that behind him stand people who spare no effort for supporting him.
This work authenticates duly the life of this unique historical personality ever since it was born. And through him we learn of three stages: the stage of Imaduddin Azzinki, then that of his son Nooruddin Amhmood, then comes the stage of Saladin himself which is crowned by the famous battle of Hitteen, then the conquest of Jerusalem. This all comes through an exciting artistic formation full of suspense based on a number of dramatic and novelistic axis which also takes great consideration of portraying characters of common people for adding more suspense and excitement to the work.
