spotlight 7 Spotlight 7 returns to satire social issues that are critical in today’s society. Like the previous 6 series, the show cleverly and masterfully mocks social backwardness, lying, corruption and taboos that shape entire communities. The series consists of thirty episodes in which each episode spotlights one or more subjects. Each spotlight is designed to highlight the subject using comedy or black comedy to reveal the tragic truth of society through entertainment allowing the viewer to think critically about the issues. The series diverse topics come from talented writers who with the actors bring out characters that we recognize and relate to. The comedic team’s main goal is not to draw attention to their character, but to showcase the spotlighted theme. Filmed around Damascus and the countryside, The Standard Bearers II Taking place in Damascus during the late 19th century, The Standard Bearers (part II), continues its story of people who carried the flags of goodness against those who stood for oppression and injustice.
